Net Zero Energy Home

This Net Zero Energy Home was designed around the sun. Architect, Michelle Penn of Authenticity designed the layout of this home so that the rooms on the South side of the house were the rooms that the most time is spent in. In the summer months the awnings on the windows are designed to keep the sun out and to keep the house cool. In the winter months they allow the sun to shine in and help heat the home. The solar panels on this home help produce as much energy as it consumes in a year, achieving net zero energy consumption.
